Alba Bioscience Inc. manufactures a wide range of monoclonal blood grouping reagents. The cell lines used are all proprietary to Alba Bioscience and are newly licensed in the USA, however, they have been supplied into Europe and other parts of the world for over 20 years.

We offer a range of ABO and RhD grouping products in addition to phenotyping and specialized blood grouping reagents. Our four anti-D’s offer a coherent RhD grouping strategy for patients, neonates and donors (see table overleaf) Unique monoclonal specificities on offer include anti-Cellano (k) and anti-Lutheran b (Lub). All of the monoclonals are direct agglutinins and some of the grouping reagents can be used for tube or slide techniques, and all are an economical single drop use. Alba Bioscience Inc. has a state of the art FDA licensed manufacturing facility in Edinburgh, Scotland that operates under current Good Manufacturing Practice conditions (cGMP).
