ALBAsera Rare Polyclonal reagents
These conventional blood grouping antisera are suitable for use by IAGT unless otherwise detailed below. (for further information contact techservices@albabioscience.co.uk)
Many of these reagents may be suitable for use by other techniques, e.g. column agglutination. However users must validate suitability of techniques before use.
The majority of these polyclonal antisera are derived from donations of human antiserum which are exclusive to Alba Bioscience.

Can these reagents be used by the slide technique?
No, none of our polyclonal reagents are suitable for use by this technique.
What controls should I use?
The required controls are detailed on the Instructions For Use (IFU) for each product. Controls are usually at least one positive and one negative control. When using a reagent recommended for use in the indirect Antiglobulin technique, then we advise that the customer also uses a Coombs control reagent, such as product code Z251
